Fashion, catalog photography solution in China

Why I am commissioned for this photoshoot, and we(me and one of my assistant) have to travel from Zhuhai to Shenzhen China for this fashion shoot? Does Shenzhen don't have photographer(s)?

It's because I am good for planning / manage flexibly and indeed know how to light ;)

Part of the difficulty for this photoshoot is the photographer have to done the scouting and create a production plan for the whole photoshoot based on client's requirements... by pick the right but limited lights and light modifiers (not as their usual just have some flash light / flashing / show off) within the first half day, then we have to execute the shoot next day within a limited budget who offered by the middle man but not the client(you know what I mean here is China).

The real shoot

Client tell the middle man that how bad the photographs she got from their last photo shoot, and this time is completely different because the photographs SOC showing in the middle man's almost broken MBP is what she looking for... for a long time.

We have complete the photo shot as planned although there are many different obstruction in between and most by the middle man and one of the photographic assistant middle man provided.

First Godox WB30P have small issue

The battery have not drop or abuse, and it got some play inside I believe it is the double sided tape issue... will send back for fix after the fashion photoshoot in Shenzhen Monday, and will order 2 more for daily use.

My diy dark reflector review

Test with AD200 bare bulb, it do provide harder shadow without double shadow... but the paint still have a bit of reflection around the open edge... I will use it until find another matte paint.

Thought of Sekonic 858 + Godox module for outdoor portrait photography

Just now my fellow called me discuss about the need of the new godox trigger module for 858.

My thought is if I will do a long term project (days - weeks) who need a lot of HSS fill flash with ratio control in outdoor portrait photography I will buy one to replace my current 508 and 758...

As usual we are professional commercial photographer, we need to justify the cost of the photography. I will buy anything for one photograph if the budget is allowed.
